Health care should not be a privilege. Medical expenses ought not to bankrupt families. The problem is not new. My father spent almost half his income for years to pay hospital bills when my little sister was born and needed intense medical attention for a day and a half. The insurance company found a way not to pay. This was in 1959. Something needs to change!
