1,124,457 Voices for Real Health Care Reform!

Why are we marching?

I'm marching because...
Our country needs Universal health care!
— Mike C, Dulles

I'm marching because...
there needs to be affordable health care, especially when employed by a small business.
— Todd D, Charlotte

I'm marching because...
too many people in the USA do not have healthcare.
— Dianne H, Honeoye

I'm marching because...
The US is the only industrialized country without it. It's about time we saw the light!
— Archan S, Beaver Dam

— Laura O, Penn Valley

I'm marching because...
My Health Coverage is inadequate and expensive - plus I have an autistic child and Insurance doesn't cover this disorder!
— Shauna M, Reston

I'm marching because...
Health care should not be a privilege. Medical expenses ought not to bankrupt families. The problem is not new. My father spent almost half his income for years to pay hospital bills when my little sister was born and needed intense medical attention for a day and a half. The insurance company found a way not to pay. This was in 1959. Something needs to change!
— Ronald H, Candler

I'm marching because...
Not another life should be lost because of lack of health care.
— Mary E, West Haven

I'm marching because...
I am one accident or illness away from destitution.
— Timothy P, Manhattan

I'm marching because...
everyone deserves fair health care
— Joanna M, Winchester

I'm marching because...
The message still rings just as true as it did just a little over a year ago; "it is time for a change not more of th same". Americans deserve reformed health care now
— Cheryl S, Boynton Beach

I'm marching because...
we need a system that doesn't discourage people from changing jobs or starting their own companies. Young people especially need to be encouraged to make decisions based on their skills and dreams, not just make the safest choice. Without real health care reform, this country cannot continue to lead in innovation and technology.
— Susan A, Clarkston

I'm marching because...
Because we don't let the private sector suppy our police and fire services. Health care is no different!
— Laurie H, Mesa

I'm marching because...
This country is in need of a health care for all it people
— Delilah M, Houston

I'm marching because...
We simply need this bill. I wish it went further.
— Robert V, Boston

I'm marching because...
I believe in medicare for ALL. Healthcare for profit means more and bigger bonuses for CEOs, and dividends for stockholders. To continually make more profits, they need to deny healthcare--not provide it.
— Susan H, Daly City

I'm marching because...
I can afford the best health care coverage. Many others can't. This is not right.

There is something wrong when our nation will spend billions on war, but not help it's citizens to have affordable healthcare.
— Susan K, Boston

it is the right thing to do!
— Steve S, Eureka

we need to lift up our whole nation not just the rich
— Marilynn P, Shelter Island Heights

I'm marching because...
the current system serves the haves, not the have nots.
— Sarah G, Cockeysville

I'm marching because...
I have seen too many good people and their families suffer from lack of health care because they were part time.
— William B, Williamsburg

I'm marching because...
None are cared for until all are cared for, only then will we be truly "American".

Brain injured people need healthcare, too !

I'm marching because...
Our congress people are no longer representing the needs of the American people.

I'm marching because...
Stop playing games with the health & lives of the American people and pass a bill that provides for a public option. Fed-ex & UPS survive just fine with the U.S., postal service -- we can have a public option for health care and the private sector will do just fine.
