How to Set up the Conference Call

What do I need to hear the conference call?

To hear the conference call you'll need to either have a computer with a high-speed Internet connection (DSL, cable modem, etc.) plus speakers—OR –a speakerphone. If you're joining by speakerphone, simply call the appropriate number (see here )

What do I need to connect to the online conference call?

You need to make sure you have:

Flash Player (to see the visuals): Download a free and up-to-date version of Adobe's Flash Player here.

RealPlayer (to hear the call): to check if you do, go here and try playing one of the audio clips. If you can't, you can download the free player at here (click on "free RealPlayer").

A note on the computer audio : there will be music playing before the call starts, so tune in early, and if you don't hear sound, then you need to turn the sound up. There are usually 3 places to do that, and you should check all 3: on your speakers, your main computer volume (usually you click the speaker icon on the lower right of your screen), and the volume for this call, which is in the small RealAudio section at the top of the call web page. Make sure all 3 are turned up enough that the music is the right volume.

How do I connect to the online conference call?

We'll place a link at the top of this page. All you have to do is click the link on the top of that page. Try to log-in a few minutes in advance to make sure you don't have any tech problems.

What if my Internet access fails?

Try reconnecting to the online conference call page. If that fails, try quitting your Internet browser and then launching it again, then going to that online conference call page. If that fails too, try restarting your computer, launching the browser, and going to that online conference call page.

If after trying all this you still cannot connect to the online conference call, the best thing is to join the conference call by following the instructions below.

What if the sound cuts out?

That sometimes happens when using the RealPlayer software. It may say it's "buffering" so just give it a few seconds and often it will fix itself. If it doesn't, or it keeps buffering indefinitely, try clicking the stop button, then the play button again, or close and reopen the software, then clicking play. If that all fails, try restarting your computer, launching the browser, and going to the online conference call page.

If after trying all this you still cannot connect to the online conference call, the best thing is to join the conference call by dialing in (see here).
