New ad in North Dakota responds to Kent Conrad

A new radio ad and a new campaign finance report ask Senator Conrad to side with North Dakotans, and not the health insurance industry, by supporting a public health insurance option in the health care reform debate. The radio ad was released today by MoveOn.org in advance of the report that will be unveiled at rallies around the state tomorrow.

The radio ad is the second in the last month and disputes the assertions made by Senator Conrad last week that the campaign to support the public health insurance option is run by "out-of-state special interest groups." The ad features Theresa Mogard, a Minot resident and MoveOn.org member, who supports a public option after being bankrupted by health care bills. The ad asks Senator Conrad to stop protecting the health insurance industry and support a public health insurance option for the good of North Dakotan families.
