Write in support of Medicaid expansion in your state

Thanks for agreeing to write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. Decision makers use this section of their local newspapers to get a sense of how people feel about an issue. Referencing a recent article in the newspaper on the subject you're writing about is important. The more of us that submit letters this week, the more likely that they'll get published!

The process is simple -- just follow the three steps below. See the tips on the bottom right of the page for ideas (click on the "Writing Tips" tab). Please report any problems you have here.

Talking Points
  • Medicaid expansion is a good deal for our state. If we don't expand Medicaid, our federal tax dollars go to other states but not our own.
  • Why wouldn't we want more people in our state to get access to health care through Medicaid? Access to health care keeps families strong and secure, making for a healthier and more productive workforce.
  • Medicaid expansion would strengthen our economy. A healthier and more productive workforce leads to economic stability and job growth.
