Election Day could go either way. Coming out of the Democratic Convention, President Obama took a small lead in the polls--but the GOP is employing every voter suppression tactic they can think of to keep likely Democratic voters from voting. If we’re going to win in November, we need to pull out all the stops to turn out the crucial voters who won it for Obama in 2008. By the end of September, Election Day will be just five weeks away, which means more and more voters and potential volunteers will be paying attention to the election. So on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30, thousands of MoveOn members will come together at Five Weeks to Win call parties. We’ll gather in living rooms and community centers across the country to call other MoveOn members in key battleground states and ask them to volunteer to help re-elect President Obama. Hosting a call party is fun and easy. They are a chance to meet other progressives in your community and work side by side to make sure that we win in November.
