Host a Fiscal Showdown Event
Thanks for signing up to organize an event for the Fiscal Showdown Day of Action on Monday, December 10. MoveOn members are joining with AFL-CIO, SEIU, and other allies to pressure members of Congress to end tax cuts for the top 2% and protect Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Events should be held at the district offices of Senate Demorats and House Republicans where possible.

Host Ground Rules
We have tried to provide all the information you will need on our website (more information is available after you post your event). We will work hard to review all questions that are emailed to us and respond in a timely manner.
By creating an event, you are agreeing to serve as the host of the event. Your responsibilities as host include:
- Arranging that all the necessary materials are brought to the event (you can ask other participants for help).
- Contacting and communicating with the people who participate in your event. We will encourage attendees not to attend an event where the host has not confirmed their participation.
- Filing a quick post-meeting report.
- Checking to see if your event will require a permit from the local police department. If so, you are responsible for obtaining the permit. Even if no permit is required, you should notify or have someone notify and be in touch with the local police department to let them know of the event in advance and confirm that there are no further requirements or restrictions.
- Making sure that the event is held on public property.
- Instructing those attending the event when they arrive to obey lawful instructions of law enforcement personnel; and to move off private property when requested to do so.
I agree to the hosting ground rules for this event.
