Five Weeks To Win Call Party 9/29-9/30

Host a Five Weeks To Win Call Party 9/29-9/30

Thanks so much for hosting! We'll give you everything you need to have a successful Election Call Party. Here are a few important tips to help you sign up:

  • At the party we'll be hitting the phones, so you should choose your location accordingly. Your house is a great place, and a community center room can also work. (For legal reasons, please do NOT hold your event at a business or any location that charges a fee.) For a complete guide of legal considerations read through the legal guidelines.
  • Choose a space that is quiet, with enough room to spread out, and cell phone reception.
  • Think of whether your space has a good space to eat food--so guests can bring desserts to the party.
  • If you have any questions about choosing a location or hosting overall, just email

  • Important instructions when choosing the maximum # of attendees: On average, about half of the people who sign up for an event, actually show up. In the "maximum # of attendees" question below, put double the number of people your location can accommodate. This will ensure that we get as many people at call parties this weekend as possible.
  • To get started, fill in your contact information below.

We will work hard to review all questions that are emailed to us and add answers to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) pages, so please check those pages to see if your question has been answered before you email us.

By providing your phone number, you are giving MoveOn permission to contact you by automated call about this event. MoveOn may also send an invitation for your event to nearby MoveOn members, including your first name and last initial.

By creating an event, you are agreeing to serve as the host of the event. Your responsibilities as host include:

    • Providing an appropriate space for the party, following the guidelines at the top of this page.
    • Printing out calling materials for your attendees, using the resources MoveOn sends you.
    • Ensuring that all calls made at your party are reported.
    • Contacting and communicating with the people who sign up for your event. We will encourage attendees not to attend an event where the host has not confirmed their participation.
    • Filling out a survey after the event is over to report your party's results and the overall experience.
