Host Ground Rules
We have tried to provide all the information you will need on our website (more information is available after you post your event). We will work hard to review all questions that are emailed to us and add answers to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) pages, so please check those pages to see if your question has been answered before you email us.
By creating an event, you are agreeing to serve as the host of the event. Your responsibilities as host include:
- Arranging that all the necessary materials are brought to the event (you can ask other participants for help).
- Contacting and communicating with the people who participate in your event. We will encourage attendees not to attend an event where the host has not confirmed their participation.
- Filing a quick post-meeting report.
Important Legal Note: MoveOn.org Political Action is a political organization. Events organized in conjunction with MoveOn.org Political Action are considered partisan under the law. As a result, non-partisan not-for-profit organizations such as schools and libraries should not use staff time or resources to organize events with MoveOn.org Political Action. This could be seen as an in-kind contribution under the law, which could put the organization's tax status in jeopardy.
I agree to the hosting ground rules for this event.
