To my Democratic friends,

As you know, I supported John Edwards for the New York primary prior to Mr. Edwards decision to give up his race for the Presidency.

While it was a bitter blow to me, after carefully weighing all the information and policies of both Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama, I believe Barack Obama will give our party and our country the best hope to win the general election for President for a new future for our great country.

I would like to ask you to join me in voting for Barack Obama in the New York primary tomorrow, Feb. 5th.

Thanks!

Mike E., NY

I am writing to urge you to go to caucus/primaries tomorrow, if you're in a state holding them, and vote for Barack Obama.

It's been many years since someone stood up to all of us and challenged us to dream for our country--in dreaming we had a responsiblity to help her, to keep safe the principles she was founded under.  Now Obama has reminded us of that possibility--the possibility of America--and the obligation.

Our obligation is to stand for those principles, to turn the page.  I believe that this election is a pivotal piont in the history of our country.  Please, if you can, caucus/vote for Barack Obama tomorrow at 6:30 pm in Colorado.

Friends!

I know I don't usually write to you about politics, but I feel so strongly about this, I just had to write. I've never felt so strongly about any one candidate in my entire life. He's inspiring so many people, including young people, to get involved in politics and to think about big ideas.

I hope you make the effort to get to the caucus tonight.  I am bringing Alex, Kim and Jacob (who will turn 18 in June!), plus Joseph and Linnea so they can see history in the making!

I've never caucused before and I just heard that most people who will come out tonight have never been involved like this before either, so don't let that stop you!

Let's be a part of this historical moment together and then we can say we had a part in making history!!!!

Peace

Hi, everybody!

Out here in Texas, one of the reddest states in the country, I see my conservative neighbors and friends showing a positive interest in Barack. They like him. They are ready to be swayed. And I see my Democratic friends and family members getting excited like never before...With Barack as our candidate, I am convinced that we can win in a landslide in 2008 and usher in a new era of progressive politics.

So, I'm writing to my friends to encourage them to get out to vote for Barack on Tuesday, February 5th. I hope you'll consider voting for him.

Hi, everybody!

Have you seen this new independent video about Barack Obama? For me, it embodies the sense of inspiration that so many people feel about his candidacy. Words don't do it justice, you have to watch it for yourself.

Anyway, I'm writing because I wanted my friends to know how inspired I am by Barack Obama and I really hope you join me in voting for him. If you liked this video, feel free to pass it on to others! Look forward to seeing you soon.

Politics is a sticky subject, I know.  But, I feel so strongly about this candidate that I am willing to show my support for him in ways that I haven't done in the past.  To me, Barack...is the embodiment of hope, dignity, leadership, integrity, and  a change agent that will unite us again with the rest of the world.

In my heart of hearts, I am an idealist.  For most of my adult voting life, I have longed for change.  I have longed to see this country live up to the ideals that led to its founding.  I have longed to see the American people awaken from the deep, deep sleep and the fear that have entranced this nation.  I believe this is possible.

I will follow through on a ritual I have with my daughter...before I take her to school we will go to my polling place...be greeted by the regular faces...enter the polling booth...she will punch the card for Barack Obama...I will check to see that there are no hanging chads...and then I will cry.

People who have never cared about politics before (such as myself) are becoming involved in the democratic process for the first time, because they refuse to settle for "politics as usual".  For the first time in my life, I have hope - hope that this country can truly ban together for a common purpose.

Hey Family, Friends, and Pals,

I know I don't usually write to you about politics, but I feel so strongly about this, I just had to write. You all know I have over 35 years of experience working on women's issues, but I've never felt so strongly about any one candidate in my entire life.

Barack Obama is inspiring so many people, including young people, to get involved in politics and to think about big ideas. While I'm impressed with Hillary Clinton's management style, I'm actually MOVED by Barack Obama's leadership style. And I trust him. Even Republicans I know listen to Obama speak about progressive ideas and say, "Wow, I like him."

Millions of people are going to the polls to pick our Democratic nominee and I hope you'll join me in voting for Obama.
