The Campaign
President Bush has ransacked our environment, destroyed our standing in the global community, and deliberately misled us about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Through 50 for the Future we're fighting back -- with a plan to elect John Kerry and John Edwards, send Bush back to Texas, and change how politics works in this country. $50 million may seem ambitious, but we think it's necessary and achievable. We're focusing on battleground states -- using advertising to blunt Republican attacks on Kerry and to highlight Kerry's positives, along with a major registration and get-out-the-vote program that will turn out hundreds of thousands of new votes in key neighborhoods.
How we'll do itWe have the opportunity to do something big. Not only are there 2.5 million of us MoveOn members, each of us knows probably at least 5 to 10 others who want the same thing. By giving others a chance to make a difference in this election, we can make an even bigger impact. On the right, we have tools for helping you get involved. We make it easy and fast to email like-minded friends and family to tell them about the effort and encourage them to participate. You can also join the growing set of MoveOn members putting on innovative fundraisers. It's a way to bring people together, have fun, and make a difference at the same time. When you invite others to participate, you not only help the effort, but you give others a way to take their passion and concern and put it into action. We've heard from countless members who are already fundraising for the 50 for the Future campaign talk about being thanked by their friends and overwhelmed by the positive response. |

We do not share the information you’ve given us with unaffiliated groups without your explicit permission.
For petitions and surveys you've signed or completed, we treat your name, city, state, and comments as public information - for example, we may provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to the President and legislators, other targets, or to the press. We will not make your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to members of Congress and to the President as part of a petition. This is a standard industry practice in such situations. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city, and state available to the press and public online.
Under circumstances where we determine that members may be misusing our systems for malicious purposes (for example, using the numbers we provide to make harassing phone calls), such activities may be reported to law enforcement agencies. In such cases, MoveOn may release personally identifiable information, including name and address, to those agencies.
In certain cases, we enable you to send individual e-mails to the President, legislators, and other targets as well as Letters-to-the-Editor to various news publications, through our website. These messages are sent in your name, with your e-mail address as the return address and your full name and contact information is provided as part of the submission. These messages will only be sent out under your name as you approve them on an individual basis using our email tool. You are solely responsible for the specific message(s) you send using our email tool.
MoveOn will send you updates on this and other important campaigns by email. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so by completing this form.
